Undeniably cutesy pop here calling to mind Camera Obscura, Peter Bjorn and John and The Concretes. By far the most twee moment of the C86 revival so far, Tennis make The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart sound like Slayer. They do however, have that magical pop ingredient bottled and locked with 'Marathon' sounding like an instant classic. Tennis are a husband and wife pair, who when sailing along the East Coast of America began to record songs about the different places they visited (other tracks of theirs include 'Baltimore' and 'South Carolina'). To hear more of their nautical travel pop head over to their Myspace.
