One of my most awaited albums of 2009 will be the debut effort from Manchester indie get-ups The Answering Machine. I like the fact they are an old-school band with no frills, just great songs. To preview the album which is due later this year they will be releasing 'Cliffer' the video for which can be seen below.

Not a bad song, you're right though in that certainly sounds a bit old.
this is a massive album. not reinventing the wheel, but a lot of fun to listen to. band is great live as well.
