I'll let you into a secret: I have the new Sky Larkin album, I actually have two copies. The good news is that it's properly brilliant and even has a song about Anjelica Huston on it which I pray to God they release and secure a music video cameo. In the meantime however 'Still Windmills' is the first single proper and it's a cracking slab of power pop from the Leeds based trio. They even manage to challenge J Cole for the simultaneous worst/ best lyric of the year with "I know it's a precipice. Not saying it's a piece of piss."
Sky Larkin play London on August 2nd in support of Best Coast. A gig I'm yet to decide isn't just a figment of my dreams...
