Mount Kimbie

Supporting The xx last night (see earlier post) were Mount Kimbie. I'm not entirely sure their music was fitting to a big stage like the one they played on last night and they certainly struggled to capture the attention of the post-work crowd, however there were signs of briliance there for sure. In a smaller venue, more fitted to their specific needs I'm sure they could do their clever and inventive debut album 'Crooks and Lovers' justice. I reviewed the album for the July issue of The Fy and gave it four fly's out of five. That's a good thing apparently although generally I think the fewer flys around you the better.
