Two girls from New York singing about being bored over the top of scuzzy clatter punk will never, ever sound anything less than incredible. Coasting (best friends Madison and Fiona) take the lo-fi aesthetic of blog favourites such as Best Coast and Dum Dum Girls and spread layers of feedback and distortion on thick. Where many of their peers favour sweetness and melody, Coasting are all about the noise. 'Snoozefest' is a freshly recorded track straight from the girls basement/ studio in Brooklyn and shows the pairs love of mutilated bedlam and irresistable ennui.
