First & Last #14 - Toro Y Moi

. Monday, May 31

Earlier this year Chaz Bundick dropped one the best albums of 2010 so far. Going by the name Toro Y Moi his collection of beats and loops sit on 'Causers Of This' in beautiful fashion seemingly euphoric and melancholy at the same time. He's a grafter too with a whole new album ready to be released later this year, this time offering a whole new sound. Ditching the electronic ambiance for a retro, lo-fi guitar sound Chaz's new single 'Leave Everywhere' (Out July 19) is available to stream below. I hauled him under the lights for a First & Last to hear about Weezer, getting drunk in Mexico and Christina Ricci.
